R.E.A.C.T

Reaching East African Canadian's Today (R.E.A.C.T) is an organization
which focuses on the development of Canadians. The goal of this
organization is to engage our youth and provide them with tools to look
towards a brighter future.  We are committed to addressing challenges
youths face today and how they can overcome them.  We are also passionate
about seniors and how we can bridge the gap between them and the youth.

R.E.A.C.T is about female empowered and females that are driven with an
emphasis on reaching East Africans and addressing gaps in current
community programs. We are asking that you "react" by providing your
support to help us improve the chances for success in life for all inner
city Youth in Toronto.

R.E.A.C.T will now focus on entering the school market with the creation
of a new and innovative after school program. "Girl Talk" is a new after
school program which will consist of educating and empowering females and
will target girls from ages 10 - 14.  We at R.E.A.C.T are certain that
with the implementation of this program young girls,  who do live in high
risk neighborhood such as areas within Jane and Finch, will not only have
an after school program to attend  but come out with knowledge  and
respect for one another.

We at R.E.A.C.T strive to achieve the following objectives:
· To empower females, · To raise awareness of female issues
· To raise awareness on abstinence, teen pregnancy and S.T.D'S
· To develop an understanding between the parents and children
· To promote unity, individuality and self esteem
· To promote education, with the focus on higher learning, ·  To help females come of age
· To educate females on the media and the image which is portrayed
·  And finally to focus on peer pressure
